Guests are welcome to visit the farm animals while here too. We will get you settled, then leave you to relax & enjoy your time alone in the beautiful stargazer tent. But we are available to assist at any time while on the farm and will be there to help with one quick call or text. And, of course, we will take care of the clean up. Hibernation Retreat & Fondue for Two FAQs:
Where is the tent located/is there a restroom/how accessible is it?
In the winter, the tent is located on the farmstead, near the barn studio. It is a very, very brief walk to our barn studio to the restroom. The tent is quite easy to access, but tent doors are smaller & different than a house door (it’s a tent, after all!), requiring a step in and a stoop down.
How do I dress?
Please dress in warm, practical clothes, ideally in layers as it can get very toasty in the tent too. There are blankets in the tent for extra coziness, and slippers for guests (both carefully laundered between guests, of course).
Is there an age requirement for stays?
Yes, hibernation retreats and fondue for two experiences are open to those 21 years & up.
What days and time of day can be booked?
We have limited dates available this year. Please see date info at the bottom of this page.
What happens in the event of bad weather?
If snow, rain, cold, or wind prove problematic, the tent experience may have to be canceled, and if so, a full refund would be issued (if payment has occurred). Please note the tent stove is sensitive to wind, so even if the weather seems “fine,” winds of a certain speed & direction can make it impossible for the tent stove to work, and may force a cancellation. Sometimes last minute calls have to be made on the weather, so it is best to keep an eye on your email or phone for announcements before heading to the farm. Also, if Three Pines Farm has to cancel for any other reason, a full refund of any payment made would be issued.
Any more questions? Please contact kara@threepinesfarm.org.
Reservations must be made at least 72 hours in advance.
